Snapchat device ban? Lift it with just your username.
Locked, suspended or SS06 device ban: your Snapchat username is all Fixsnap needs to send the automated unban request.
"Snapchat accounts can be locked for a variety of reasons. We do this to keep the app fun and safe for everyone."

What SS06 means on your phone
SS06 is the code that accompanies a Snapchat device ban: the block is tied to the phone you use, not only to one account.
Snapchat's own help page says accounts get locked when content or behaviour breaks its Community Guidelines or Terms of Service, or when it spots suspicious activity, such as sending too many friend requests in a short time.
A temporary lock can be lifted from the Snapchat Accounts Portal with the Unlock option. When the message is a device ban, or the lock stays, Fixsnap sends an automated unban request for the account instead, built from your username.
From Snapchat's official help page, read on the day of writing: My Snapchat account is locked, linked at the top of this page.
How the unban request works
-
You see SS06
Snapchat opens on the device banned message instead of your chats.
-
You type your username
On the next page you enter the Snapchat username of the locked account.
-
The request goes out
Fixsnap sends the automated unban request for that account.
Does it fit you
Ask yourself:
- Does Snapchat say this device is banned?
- Is your account locked or suspended?
- Do you still know your username?
Yes to those, and the unban request was made for your case.
ContentsQuestions before you start
Do I need my Snapchat password?
No. The request is built from your Snapchat username only.
My account is locked, but the phone is not banned. Does it still work?
Yes. The unban request covers locked and suspended accounts as well as SS06 device bans.
What does Snapchat itself suggest?
For a temporary lock, its help page directs you to the Unlock option in the Snapchat Accounts Portal, and to the in-app appeal when an Appeal Decision message shows at login.
